Phantom DNA phenomenon

DNA phantom effect is somewhat puzzling yet concrete problem. What if you only have the field signature of DNA,  will the substituents form into the shape of the double helix that was previously there given the right conditions?

What Is BME?
Biomedical Engineering field is a relatively a new area of study. Here in City College of New York this major has received its national accreditation as an Undergraduate program (exciting!) It involves the use of new and sometimes developing even newer technologies to be used with living systems i.e. prosthetics, implants and nanotechnologies. To create an implant that needs to function within a living/sentient being, it is not enough to just know how to make the part! Here is where a BME major comes in. Knowing basics of chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering in conjuncture with physiological functions and systems of animals is integral to success in this field.

How do I know that BME program is right for me?
Well this is a tough question to answer… I can onlyt tell you to ask yourself a few of the following questions, and if majority of the answers are “yes”…you are pretty much on the right strack: Do you enjoy discovering how things work and if possibly recreating them? Do you like mathematics and feel pretty confident about pursuing it further in application? Did you have your first Calculus class while still in school? Do you like working interdisciplinary? Are you willing to keep up-to-date with all the new research and developments in the field and outside of it? Did you ever dream of building a bio-robot?  I think you got the point.  

Which directions can I go with BME?
Well the sky is the limit my friend… but there are a few areas that CCNY offers to pursue and has an ongoing research: Cardiovascular Engineering Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Neural Engineering Nanotechnology and Biomaterials  

What will i find in this blog?
Maybe a lot of interesting content, or maybe not that much...depends on how diligently i will maintain it :) and how much will catch my attention and interest. Probability is high for both !
